Rancho Cordova Sharps Collection Service *Appointment Required*
Residents have the option to request a free sharps container and/or schedule a sharps pickup with Atlas Disposal, the city refuse and recycling contractor. Home-generated sharps, syringes, lancets, scalpels, and any needle/sharp object used for healthcare purposes, must be placed in an approved sharps container. The lid must be secured prior to placing it out for collection.
Pickups are by appointment only. Do not place sharps containers out for collection without scheduling a pickup. The appointment is to ensure the driver knows to remove the sharps container. No one is required to be present for the sharps container to be removed.
