Sharps must be in a sharps container or empty rigid plastic container with a secure lid, such as a detergent bottle or coffee container, labeled "SHARPS". Milk jugs will not be accepted. Container cannot contain any medications, except for unused auto-injectors. There is no fee to dispose.
It is against the law in the state of California to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
