Sharps accepted for free at the CRV redemption center during redemption hours only. Sharps must be in a red sharps container or rigid plastic container, such as a bleach or detergent bottle. The lid of the container should be tightly closed and taped shut. Write "SHARPS WASTE" on the outside of the container. Davis Waste Removal employees will receive the sealed sharps container and place it in their sharps kiosk for proper disposal.
It is against the law in the state of California to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
