As a community service, the Citizen Center accepts used sharps for disposal. Sharps must be in a sealed plastic container and given to a COA staff member, ideally the nurse if she is available. Do not leave containers unattended. Common household laundry detergent bottles, coffee cans or sharps containers are accepted.
It is against the law in the state of Massachusetts to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
