Walgreens #9080 Sharps Mail-Back Program

The City of Indio has a sharps disposal program to help residents store and dispose of medical waste properly. Indio residents can visit one of the participating pharmacies and request a sharps container. The resident will be given a sharps container and a pre-paid and pre-addressed box. Just fill the container with sharps then put the container in the box and put the box in the mail. It will be shipped to a proper disposal facility at no cost. Indio residents can request up to three sharps containers a year. Proof of residence is required. It is against the law in the state of California to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
