Sharps must be in a red biohazard container no larger than 9 x 9 x 6.5 inch. There is a $10 disposal fee. Checks only, no cash, payable to the Canton Board of Health. Containers may be purchased from the health department at a cost of $10 (includes disposal). All containers must be locked and labeled with the name of the individual dropping off the container, their phone number and address.
It is against the law in the state of Massachusetts to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
