Sharps must be in a sharps container or a 1 quart (or smaller) hard sided plastic container with a lid, such as a laundry detergent or bleach bottle. Tape the container shut. Put containers into the drop box.
It is against the law in the state of Massachusetts to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
