Sharps must be in a locked biohazard (red) sharps container. Fill container to the indicator line before locking for disposal. Do not use plastic milk jugs or soda bottles. These containers will not be accepted.
The Cudahy Health Department has biohazard sharps containers available to purchase for $2 (small) or $10 (large).
It is against the law in the state of Wisconsin to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
