Notes: Republic Services' Residential Customer Sharps Program provides free, front door collection of home generated hypodermic needles, syringes and lancets. Used household hypodermic sharps, stored inside an approved sharps container, can be picked up at your doorstep by simply scheduling an appointment with Republic Services. Approved sharps containers are widely available at local drug stores, pharmacies and Republic Services' Transfer Station. Sharps containers must be closed and locked for pickup. It is against the law in the state of California to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
