Medical sharps such as lancets and needles from home self-medicating healthcare are accepted free of charge at the Knott Landfill scale house or any Deschutes County Transfer Station. Sharps containers are available for purchase at most pharmacies and medical supply retailers. See site attendant for disposal directions.
It is against the law in the state of Oregon to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
